My Take on the Book :
Never a dull moment in this romantic suspense. It has a unique beginning and a collection of characters that give a glimpse of the other books in the series.
Matthew “Wolf” Steel hated flying commercial. Luckily his job as a Navy SEAL meant he didn’t have to do it very often. He’d been unlucky enough to be assigned a middle seat on the cramped jet, but fortunately for him, the woman next to him was willing to switch seats with him. Hoping for a relaxing flight, Wolf was pleasantly surprised at the good conversation and sense of humor the woman had as they flew 36,000 feet over the countryside.
When Caroline boarded the plane to Virginia to move across the country for her new job she never expected to be seated next to the hottest guy she’d ever seen. She also never expected he’d be so easy to talk to. She knew he’d never be interested in talking to her if he hadn’t been trapped in the seat next to her, but it was a nice way to spend a long plane ride.
Neither Wolf nor Caroline were prepared for a terrorist hijacking of their plane, but if Caroline thought that would be the last time she’d see, or need, Wolf, she’d be sorely mistaken.

My Review of 'Protecting Caroline' by Susan Stoker
Caroline is overlooked everyday. Most people don’t notice her and she’s accepted that fact of life until Matthew Steel notices her on a flight to Virginia. Moving across country for her new job, she offers to trade seats with him and give him more room in the aisle. Caroline is observant and kind- hearted. When Matthew asked her to go to covertly alert his teammates on the plane, she doesn’t hesitate to help any way she can. When Matthew is about to be attacked she even jumps into the fight to help him take back control of the plane.
I liked Caroline but this book and the writing aren’t for everyone. Goodreads reviews didn’t seem to like this book much, but I thought she was a ok character. I thought she could have been more developed and elements of this book are a little unbelievable, but I didn’t mind it. I love romantic suspense.
Matthew “Wolf” Steel is the leader of a SEAL team and looking forward to a week of vacation with some of his friends. But when the flight is on his hijacked and the passengers are drudged, he takes matters into his own hands. The interesting woman he sat beside on the flight saved his life. He can’t stop thinking about her and how brave she was, so when his teammate notices that she was injured in the attack she comes with them.
His teammates think of her as one of them. When he is forces to leave for a mission a week ahead of time, he doesn’t want to leave her.
On a Hijacked flight, kidnapped and even thrown into the ocean, Caroline doesn’t have a moment of down time in this story. And you won’t either. Elements of the this romantic suspense are unbelievable, but they didn’t bother me enough to stop reading. I enjoyed this quick, fast read. The plot has a unique beginning and I thought it was a good start to the series.
